Satu lagi ajang penghargaan bagi insan permusikan Korea Selatan, “Melon Music Awards (MMA)”, kembali digelar pada akhir pekan lalu. Acara penghargaan yang digelar oleh platform musik nomor 1 satu di Korea Selatan ini digelar di INSPIRE Arena Incheon pada 2 Desember 2023 lalu.
Dalam “Melon Music Awards 2023” ini, girl group yang memiliki julukan monster rookie, NewJeans, berhasil menjadi bintangnya. Grup ini berhasil membawa pulang dua penghargaan kategori Daesang, yaitu penghargaan Artist of the Year dan Best Song of the Year. Secara total grup ini berhasil membawa pulang lima penghargaan.
Selain NewJeans, salah satu sub-unit dari NCT, NCT DREAM, juga panen penghargaan dalam “Melon Music Awards 2023”. Grup ini berhasil membawa pulang empat penghargaan, termasuk satu penghargaan kategori Daesang, yaitu Record of the Year.
Penghargaan kategori Daesang yang tersisa, Album of the Year, berhasil dibawa pulang girl group KPop IVE. Grup ini berhasil membawa pulang penghargaan tersebut berkat album terbaru mereka, “I’ve IVE”.
